Holy Cross falls to #9 Loyola (Md.)

BALTIMORE, Md. – Loyola's Georgia Latch totaled nine points on five goals and four assists, to lead the ninth-ranked Greyhounds to a 20-7 victory over the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team at the Ridley Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 4-8 on the season and 1-3 in the Patriot League, while the Greyhounds improve to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Senior Henna Brennan and freshman Kate Burns led Holy Cross with two goals each. Senior Jenna Giardina added one goal and one assist, while senior Christine Fabrizi dished out two assists.

Loyola started the game hot, jumping out to an 11-2 lead with 10:36 remaining in the second quarter. The Crusaders scored the next two goals to cut the deficit to seven (11-4), before the Greyhounds closed out the half with a 4-0 run to take a 15-4 halftime lead. Loyola's lead would remain in double digits throughout the second half, as it eventually posted a 13-goal victory.

Holy Cross will return to action next Saturday, April 8, when it plays host to Lafayette at 1 p.m.
