WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Henna Brennan tied her career-high with three goals scored, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Quinnipiac 15-8 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 3-4 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 3-3 overall.
Quinnipiac started the game on fire, jumping out to an 11-0 lead after the first 21:32 of action. Holy Cross scored a pair of goals in the second quarter to break the streak, and trailed 11-2 at halftime. The Bobcats were later up 13-3 in the third quarter, when the Crusaders ran off four straight goals to trim the margin to six (13-7) heading to the fourth quarter. But that was as close as Holy Cross would get, as Quinnipiac went on to win by seven.
