Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women’s lacrosse falls to Quinnipiac

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Henna Brennan tied her career-high with three goals scored, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Quinnipiac 15-8 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 3-4 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 3-3 overall.

Quinnipiac started the game on fire, jumping out to an 11-0 lead after the first 21:32 of action. Holy Cross scored a pair of goals in the second quarter to break the streak, and trailed 11-2 at halftime. The Bobcats were later up 13-3 in the third quarter, when the Crusaders ran off four straight goals to trim the margin to six (13-7) heading to the fourth quarter. But that was as close as Holy Cross would get, as Quinnipiac went on to win by seven.

Junior Lauren Drillock and senior Jenna Giardina both scored two goals on the day for the Crusaders. Desiree Kleberg led the Bobcats with four goals, while Kat Henselder made 12 saves.

Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, March 11, when it plays host to Harvard at 11 a.m.
