Men's lacrosse edged by Midshipmen on Senior Day

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Navy, 13-8, in Patriot League action Saturday afternoon at Kuzniewski Field.

Junior Matt Major led the way for the Crusaders (0-9, 0-4 PL) with his second hat trick of the season. Senior Thomas McIntire and freshman William Stahl picked up two goals each, while senior Dean DiNanno added a goal and assist to his season tally.
 
Seniors T.J. Lynch, Cameron Magalotti, and Connor Boyle picked up an assist each. Freshman Julian Jenkins picked up his first career point, an assist, on the afternoon. Jenkins also led the defense, tying his career highs in caused turnovers with two, and ground balls with four. Sophomore Baker Reding led the Crusaders with five ground balls. 
 
Junior goalkeeper Dawson Friers recorded 18 saves on the afternoon for the third time this season. His save total also accounts for his seventh game with 15 or more saves this season.

Navy (4-6, 1-2 PL) was led by Max Hewitt who recorded six points on five goals and an assist. Mac Haley and Jon Jarosz added three points each in the matchup that saw nine different Midshipmen record points. Netminder Pat Ryan recorded 12 saves in the win.

As part of the senior day festivities at Kuzniewski field, the Crusaders recognized the 12-member senior class that includes attackmen Dean DiNanno, Jayce Lambert, T.J. Lynch, and Thomas McIntire; midfielders Connor Boyle, Billy Carlini, Martin Folan, Konrad Knaus, Cameron Magalotti, and Stuart Pollard; and defensemen Hayes Reding and Tyler Strub for their dedication to the program during their time on the Hill. 

Holy Cross will head on the road for their next Patriot League matchup against #9 Loyola (Md.) on Saturday, April 1. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore, Md., and will stream live on ESPN+.
