AMHERST, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Massachusetts 5-2 at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 3-2 on the season, while the Minutewomen improve to 4-2 overall.

UMass began the day with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the doubles point. The Minutewomen then went on to earn victories in straight sets at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles to finish the day

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, March 4, when it faces Lehigh at the Paxton Tennis & Fitness Club in Paxton, Mass.
