LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team broke three more program records during the second day of competition at the 2023 Patriot League Championship.
The men stayed in eighth place and have 65 points through two days. Army West Point (305.5) leapfrogged Navy (298.5) into the stop slot while host Bucknell (192.5) stayed in third place.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the Crusaders broke the old mark completing the race in 3:22.67. Freshman
Jack Sorenson led off the event with the 100-yard backstroke and broke that event mark with a time of 51.29. Newcomer
Zach Bubonovich, sophomore
Rory Hess and junior
Charlie Nascimben were also part of the relay squad.
During the preliminaries in the morning, Nascimben set the 200-yard individual medley mark at 1:51.70.
The Crusaders hit the water for the third day of competition on Friday.
