ORONO, MAINE. — The Holy Cross women's ice hockey continued its weekend on the road facing off with Maine in a Hockey East Saturday afternoon game. A tough 6-0 loss for the Crusaders ends the weekend.
The Crusaders led the Black Bears 52-43 in shots attempts during the game with 33 of Maine's and 29 of Holy Cross's shots landing on target. Senior goalie Madison Beck made a total of 27 saves on the outing.
The Black Bears went 1-for-3 on the power-play, converting one goal on the 5-on-4 opportunity in the third period. Holy Cross had four power-play opportunities and were unable to capitalize on the chance.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Maine got on the board early, just 33 seconds into the first period.
- The Black Bears scored at 6:23 and 18:13 in the second period for the 3-0 lead going into the third period.
- Maine netted three goals in the third period at 6:35, 9:52 and 14:55.
- Maine came out with the 6-0 win over the Crusaders

- Holy Cross continues on the road with one last game until the new year on Friday, Dec. 8 at 6 pm. at Boston University in the Walter Brown Arena.
