Fifth-year linebacker
Jacob Dobbs was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday, Nov. 20.
Dobbs helped lead a strong defensive effort as the No. 25 Crusaders defeated Georgetown, 31-10, on Saturday, Nov. 18 — which clinched a share of a league-record fifth straight Patriot League title.
On the day, Dobbs totaled 12 tackles, including an eight-yard sack in the first quarter. He finished with 1.5 TFLs and three quarterback hurries.
During the game, Dobbs set the Patriot League record for tackles, finishing his Crusader career with 432 tackles. He additionally broke the Holy Cross program record for TFLs, with 46.5 in his career.
Dobbs finishes the season as a four-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honoree and earned the honor seven times in his career.
