KINGSTON, R.I. – Sophomore
Sabrina Conrad of the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team set a new program mark as the Crusaders opened up competition at day one of the Harold Anderson Invitational hosted by Rhode Island in the Tootell Aquatic Center Friday.
Through the first day of competition, the Crusaders are in fourth place with 165 points. They trail leader Vermont (280), Rhode Island (242) and Maine (170.5).
Conrad hit the wall in 2:05.95 which was good enough for third place ad 16 points to the team total.
Teammate, senior
Greta Walting placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (24.17) and was closely followed by freshman
Devin Brindle for a fourth place showing at 24.23.
The 400-yard medley relay team of sophomore
Ainsley Nalen, Walting, Brindle and senior
Ayden Chanin finished third at 3:50.96.
In the three-meter dive, senior
Katelyn Cerulli (265.50) and reigning Patriot League Female Diver of the Week, junior
Ciara Scamby (255.60) placed third and fifth respectively.
The Crusaders will be back in action for day two tomorrow at 10 a.m.
