LEWISBURG, Pa. — Junior Nolan Schuermann both finished in the top-20 leading the Holy Cross men's golf team to a shared 6th place finish at the Bucknell Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club.

Schuermann had a slow start firing a 76 in round one on the first day but rallied on day two with a 71. On the final day he had a standout performance shooting a 69 for a 216 (+6) final score which gave him a share of 21st place.

After three rounds of the 54-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 868 (+28) as a team.

COACH'S CORNER:
"The team struggled during the opening round on Sunday, thankfully they responded during the final two rounds, especially during the final round on Tuesday. Off to a very poor start at nine over par through eight holes, the team rallied by playing the final ten holes in 5 under par," said director of golf Steve Napoli. "Nolan Schuermann led the way during the final round by shooting one under par (69) highlighted by an eagle on the par five ninth hole."

• The Crusaders return to action for their final tournament of the fall season at Veterans Intercollegiate hosted by Bucknell at the Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. from Monday, October 30 to Tuesday, October 31.
