The Holy Cross men's soccer team will travel to Colgate this Wednesday, Sept. 28, for a 7:00 p.m. game.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (4-5-0, 0-2-0 Patriot League):
• Holy Cross has an overall record of 4-5-0 on the season, with an 0-2-0 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a narrow 3-2 loss to Army West Point on Saturday.
• Sophomore forward
Evan Jones is once again among the top offensive threats for Holy Cross this fall, and leads the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist. During the Army game, he netted the Crusaders' first goal of the day. Jones previously scored three goals in the win at UMass Lowell, becoming the first Holy Cross player to record a hat trick since 2013. In 28 career games played, he has now totaled 12 goals and seven assists for 31 points.
• Sophomore midfielder
Marcus Williams scored the first goal of his collegiate career during the Army West Point game, in addition to tallying an assist for a career-best three points. He is now tied for fourth on the team in scoring this season with six points on one goal and four assists, and leads the squad with 808 minutes played.
• Senior midfielder
Matt McGonigle scored his first goal of the season during the victory over UMass Lowell, then netted the game-winning goal against Hartford. On the year, he ranks third on the team in scoring with two goals and three assists for seven points. McGonigle has now totaled 21 points on six goals and nine assists in 39 career games played.

Taj Salawu are serving as the Crusaders' captains this season.
Scouting the Raiders (4-2-2, 1-0-1 Patriot League):
• Colgate owns an overall mark of 4-2-2 on the year, with a 1-0-1 record in the Patriot League. The Raiders are coming off a 1-1 tie at Navy on Saturday.
• Senior forward Max Edelstein currently leads the team in scoring with seven points on three goals and one assist.
• Junior Andrew Cooke has started five games in goal for Colgate this year, posting a 1.27 goals against average with 14 saves.
Series History:
• The Raiders hold an 18-10-6 lead in the all-time series with the Crusaders, with a 3-1-0 mark in the last four games.
• Holy Cross and Colgate last played on Sept. 29, 2021, when the Crusaders won 3-1 in Worcester.
