Junior quarterback Matthew Sluka of the No. 12/13 Holy Cross football team earned National Offensive Player of the Week honors from Stats Perform on Monday, Sept. 12.

Sluka had a career performance as the Crusaders (2-0) upset FBS foe Buffalo on Saturday, Sept. 10.  His 46-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Jalen Coker was the highlight of the 37-31 victory, and was named SportsCenter's top play for Saturday.

Over the entire contest, Sluka rushed for a career-best 146 yards, while also throwing for 238 yards and three touchdowns.

Sluka and the Crusaders will be back in action on Saturday, September 17 at 2 p.m. when they square off against nonconference opponent Yale. Tickets for the Homecoming matchup start at just $10 and can be purchased at goholycross.com/tickets or by calling 1-844-GOCROSS.

Fans have the opportunity to hear from members of the Holy Cross coaching staff on Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Crusader Kickoff, hosted at Volturno Pizzeria. Tickets are just $25 and include dinner and a cash bar.
