Crusaders fall to Bryant

CUMBERLAND, R.I. — Sophomore William Kelleher earned a victory at No. 1 singles, but the Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Bryant 6-1 at the Fore Court Racquet and Fitness Club. The Crusaders fall to 2-11 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 11-16 overall.

Bryant began the day by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. In singles action, Kelleher posting a convincing 6-1, 6-4 victory over Sepehr Raissi at No. 1 to give Holy Cross a point. But the Bulldogs won the remaining five singles matches to claim the overall victory.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 9, when they face Lehigh at the Longfellow Tennis Club in Natick, Mass., at 5:30 p.m.
