HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brown scored a run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second to take an early 1-0 lead.

- The Bears capitalized on a Holy Cross error with two outs in the third, with a run scoring on the miscue; second baseman Reece Rappoli then doubled to extend the lead to 3-0.
- Freshman right-hander Trevor Neff and sophomore righty Payton Sutman combined to throw five shutout innings, but Brown's pitching staff did not allow a single Holy Cross baserunner over the remainder of the game, preserving the 3-0 win for the Bears.
DUE UP:
- The Crusaders host Navy for a three-game Patriot League series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 9.
