Men's track and field hosts Assumption and URI

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's track and field team hosted a meet against Assumption and URI on Tuesday, April 26 at the Hart Track.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Senior TJ Duggan took home first in the pole vault with a mark of 4.55m.
  • Senior Sean Fitzpatrick earned fourth place in the hammer with a mark of 38.12m.
  • Junior Jack Welch placed fifth in the 800m in a time of 1:55.54.
  • Freshman Brian Fennelly earned fourth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.30m.
  • Freshman Kevin Yastuhashi placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.85m.
  • Yastuhashi also placed second in the 110m hurdles in a time of 16.19.
  • Sophomore Christopher Barone (11.34) and junior Cameron Lloyd (11.51) took fifth and sixth in the 100m dash.
  • Junior Brendan Fay (4:11.08) and freshman Samuel Baker (4:12.19) took fourth and sixth place in the 1500m.
  • In the 400m dash, senior Corey Kumamoto secured second place in a time of 50.52. Sophomore Rigoberto Alfonso ran the event in a time of 53.13, good for sixth place.
  • In the 200m dash, Fennelly (22.70) and junior Thomas O'Connell (23.06) placed fourth and sixth.
