WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Franklin Pierce 5-2 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 5-10 on the season, while the Ravens improve to 12-4 overall.
At No. 2 singles, freshman
Ahana Nagarkatti earned a win after her opponent retired due to injury when the score was 4-6, 3-0. In addition, senior
Meg O'Melveny won by default at No. 6 singles. But Franklin Pierce won the remainder of the singles matches and claimed the doubles point to earn the overall victory.
Prior to the match, the senior members of the Holy Cross team who will be graduating in May were honored in a special ceremony for their contributions over the last four years. O'Melveny, senior

Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, April 3, when it heads to Boston University for a 12:00 p.m. match.
