LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell, 23-7, to Bucknell on Sunday, April 17 at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
Senior attack Will Spangenberg led the day for the Crusaders (0-11, 0-7 PL) with three goals. Sophomore goaltender
Dawson Friers posted 18 saves on the day.
Alston Tarry notched six goals and six assists to lead the Bison (8-4, 2-4 PL) to victory. Goaltender Rich O'Halloran made eight saves in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Spangenberg tallied the first goal for the Crusaders at 10:33 of the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, Spangenberg went on to score two goals to earn himself a hat trick on the day with assists from junior attack Thomas McIntire and sophomore attack Cole Kratovil.
- With 2:55 remaining in the second quarter, junior attack Dean DiNanno notched the fourth goal of the day for the Crusaders to bring the score to 4-7 in favor of the Bison.
- Moments later, McIntire found his way past the Bucknell defense with an assist from DiNanno to bring the score to 5-8.
- At 5:39 of the third quarter, junior attack Jayce Lambert scored a goal with an assist from senior midfielder Kilian Morrissey.
- Freshman attack Baker Reding scored the last goal of the day for Holy Cross with 3:55 remaining in the game to make the final score 23-7.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- The two teams tied in caused turnovers in the matchup with eight each.
- Senior defenseman Chris Conlin cause four turnovers on the day. Conlin currently ranks fourth nationally in caused turnovers per game with 2.70 on average.

- Holy Cross will hit the road for a game against UMass Lowell on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 pm.
