PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Providence 7-0 at the Providence College Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 6-12 on the season, while the Friars improve to 5-10 overall.
Providence began the day by sweeping all three of the doubles matches. The Friars then went on to take all six of the singles matches. The closest match of the day came at No. 5 singles, where freshman
Caroline Fredey was edged by Providence's Lauren Carson 5-7, 6-2, (10-4).
Holy Cross returns to action on Tuesday, April 12, when its plays host to Merrimack at 3:30 p.m.
