WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Jolie Creo scored five goals but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Army West Point 21-10 at Michie Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 3-5 on the season and 0-1 in the Patriot League, while the Black Knights improve to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

The game was tied at 2-2 early on, before Army ran off four straight goals to take a 6-2 lead late in the first quarter. The Black Knights went on to outscore Holy Cross 8-1 in the second quarter and would hold a 14-4 advantage at halftime. The Crusaders were unable to trim the margin to less than eight goals in the second half, with Army going on to post an 11-goal victory.

Junior Sara McKenna and sophomore Lauren Drillock both scored two goals on the day for Holy Cross. Julia Gorajek led the Black Knights with seven points on six goals and one assist.

The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, March 26, when they travel to American for a 12:00 p.m. game.
