CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 8-1 in non-conference action at the duPont Tennis Courts. The Crusaders fall to 1-6 on the season, while the Engineers improve to 4-1 overall.

MIT began the day by winning all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead, then went on to capture five of the six singles matches. Holy Cross' lone win of the day came at No. 5 singles, where freshman
Jeremy Clark defeated Benjamin Ebanks 6-4, 6-2.
