Men's lacrosse set to face No. 14/13 Boston University

The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team will face Patriot League opponent No. 14/13 Boston University on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at Kuzniewski Field.

HOLY CROSS (0-6, 0-2 PL) AT A GLANCE:
  • The Crusaders return home after a 17-7 loss at Lehigh.
  • Senior defenseman Chris Conlin has averaged 2.0 caused turnovers per game this season, making him ninth in the nation. 
  • Junior attack Dean DiNanno leads the team in points with seven goals and six assists for a total of 13.
  • Junior attack Jayce Lambert also has seven goals on the season along with one assist.
  • Junior attack Thomas McIntire scored his first two goals of the season in the matchup against Lehigh.
SCOUTING BU (5-0, 2-0 PL):
  • BU remains undefeated on the season after their 12-7 win over Bucknell on Saturday, March 12.
  • Goalkeeper Matt Garber ranks second in the nation in goals-against average with 7.79 and fourth in the NCAA with a save percentage of 0.624.
  • The Terriers have the No. 1 ranked defense in the nation with 7.6 goals allowed per game.
  • BU defenseman Roy Meyer was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Men's Division I Player of the Week after causing five turnovers in the contest against Bucknell.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
  • BU posted a 16-6 victory against Holy Cross on March 12, 2021, at Kuzniewski Field.
  • Then freshman faceoff specialist Connor DePiero won 14 of the 15 faceoffs he took.
