WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Jolie Creo totaled four goals and one assist to lead the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a 13-6 victory over UMass Lowell at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders improve to 1-1 on the season with the win, while the River Hawks fall to 0-2 overall.
Holy Cross opened the game by jumping out to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, with Creo, senior
Finley Cassidy, sophomore
Lauren Drillock and freshman
Isabela Miller all scoring goals. After UMass Lowell got on the board early in the second quarter, the Crusaders ran off seven straight goals to take a commanding 11-1 advantage. Creo and freshman
Ella Kittredge both scored two goals during that spurt.
Holy Cross would lead 11-3 at halftime and increase its edge to 13-3 in the second half, before eventually posting a 13-6 victory.

Jenna Giardina all scored two goals for the Crusaders, while senior
Jordyn Arakelian added a goal and two assists. Senior
Grace Flink made 11 saves in net while allowing just six goals. The River Hawks were led by Megan Brockbank with two goals and one assist.
Holy Cross will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 22, when it travels to Harvard for a 5:00 p.m. game.
