Senior linebacker Liam Anderson has been invited to the 2023 Hula Bowl, which will be played on Jan. 14, 2023 in Orlando, Florida at FBC Mortgage Stadium.
The Hula Bowl is an annual college football all-star game, where all NFL, XFL, USFL and CFL teams will be represented. One hundred of the top senior athletes will be selected to play in an ideal venue to showcase their talent up against the best the game has to offer.
Anderson is a two-time All-Patriot League first team selection and a two-time Academic All-Patriot League honoree; he also earned All-ECAC honors in 2021. A team captain in 2022, he leads the team with 76 tackles and 14.5 tackles for a loss of 57 yards. Additionally, he has tallied three sacks, four quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, an interception, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
This year, Anderson has helped lead Holy Cross to the first 12-0 season in program history and the Crusaders' first visit to the NCAA quarterfinals since 1983.
The eighth-seeded Crusaders will face top-seeded South Dakota State in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Dec. 10. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET in Brookings, South Dakota, and the game will be televised on ESPN.
