BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team had an outstanding weekend at the Head of the Charles on the Charles River. The Crusaders were led by the varsity eight, which finished in third place in the men's collegiate eight to earn a bronze medal.
In the collegiate eight race on Sunday, Holy Cross clocked a time of 14:32.684 to earn a third-place finish out of 41 boats. The Crusaders finished behind only Drexel (14:20.496) and Williams (14:21.751), while defeating the likes of Temple, St. Joseph's, Tufts and Colgate.
The Holy Cross second varsity eight also had a strong showing, placing 13th out of 40 boats with a time of 15:03.642 in the club eight race on Saturday.
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 29, when it takes part in the Wormtown Chase Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond.
