HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving program escaped the wintry weather of New England and picked up a 160-132 victory versus Patriot League opponent Colgate Saturday at the Lineberry Natatorium.

Michael Brennan, and senior
Ben Vesey helped the Crusaders (2-5, 1-2 PL) to victory with a 3:33.56 first place finish besting the Colgate (0-5, 0-2 PL) squad by seven seconds. The 400-yard free relay lineup consisting of the same swimmers placed first as well at 3:13.88.
Charlie Nascimben brought home first in two other events, the 100-yard breaststroke (59:83) and the 200-yard breast (2:12.26). Walsh hit the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke (54.47) and the 200-yard back (2:00.26).
Brennan (52.10) bettered his teammate, freshman
Rory Hess (53.56) by one second in the 100-yard fly.
In the diving events, sophomore
Troy Dalton (208.65) bested sophomore
Chris Clow (204.08) in the three-meter while Clow took home first in the one-meter (204.98) and Dalton finished second (181.20).
The Crusaders will compete next weekend in the two-day Boston Winter Open hosted by Boston University.
