WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team fell to Boston College, 3-1, on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Hart Center Rink.

Carlie Magier scored a third-period goal for the Crusaders (3-20-0, 1-17-0 Hockey East). Senior goaltender
Jada Brenon made 41 saves for Holy Cross.
The Eagles (12-11-0, 10-8-0 Hockey East) had a goal in each period, with Abby Newhook and Kelly Browne each recording a two-point day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Boston College got on the board first at 13:13 of the opening period.
- The lead grew to 2-0 at 13:27 with a goal from Newhook, and to 3-0 at 6:06 of the third period after Alexie Guay scored.
- After the Eagles were called for a crosschecking penalty at 7:30 of the third, Magier recorded a power-play goal just 16 seconds into the Holy Cross advantage.
- Brenon turned away 18 of the 19 third-period shots she faced, but the Crusaders were unable to chip away further at the 3-1 deficit.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Magier is the first Crusader this year to record multiple power-play goals after scoring her second of the season.
