WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team fell short at Army West Point, 4-1, on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Tate Rink.

Anthony Vincent scored the lone goal of the day for the Crusaders (6-17-2, 3-10-2 AHA). Anthony Firriolo had a goal and an assist to lead Army (9-11-3, 7-6-2 AHA); goaltender Gavin Abric stopped 35 of the 36 shots on net he faced.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Army took a 1-0 lead early on, after John Keranen scored a power-play goal at 13:47 of the first.
- The Crusaders outshot the Black Knights 19-8 in the second period; Vincent cashed in on a goal at the 17:59 mark of the second to even things up at 1-1.
- The Black Knights regained the lead at 5:29 of the third period, and Firriolo notched an insurance goal at 7:49 on the power play.
- Army added an empty-netter with under nine seconds remaining to secure the 4-1 victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Vincent has scored a goal in back-to-back games and in four of his last five contests.
UP NEXT:
- Holy Cross will head to American International College for a two-game set in Springfield.
- The first game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27. The Crusaders and Yellow Jackets will then round out the series on Saturday, Jan. 29 with a 1 p.m. puck drop.
