WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie against Canisius on Friday, Jan. 14.
The Golden Griffins (10-9-3, 7-6-2 AHA) went on to win the shootout to earn an extra point in the Atlantic Hockey standings.

Anthony Vincent had the lone goal of the night for the Crusaders (5-15-2, 3-8-2 AHA). Junior goaltender
Matt Radomsky stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced.
Goaltender Jacob Barczewski made 26 saves for Canisius.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a scoreless first and second period, the Golden Griffins broke through at 12:12 of the third after Alex Ambrosio earned a shorthanded tally.
- Just 1:12 later, Vincent cashed in on a power-play goal right in front of the net to tie things up at one goal apiece.
- The Crusaders were outshot 14-10 over the first two periods, but then outshot the Golden Griffins 17-5 over the last two periods, including 7-1 in a five-minute overtime.
- In the shootout, Ryan Miotto converted on Canisius' first attempt; that would be all the Golden Griffins would need, as Radomsky stopped their next two attempts, but Barczewski stopped all three of Holy Cross'.
