WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lafayette, 3-0, on Sunday night in Blaney Gymnasium.
The Crusaders now sit at 1-12 on the season and 0-2 in Patriot League play, while the Leopards improve to 4-6 and 1-1 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gracyn Benck led the Crusaders in set one, but the Leopard's hit .520 to take the 25-16 win and 1-0 lead.
- Set two was a back-and-forth affair from the jump until the Leopards used a seven-point run to take a 15-9 lead. Lafayette closed out the set with a 25-18 victory and took a 2-0 lead in the match.
- In the final set, Lafayette outscored the Crusaders 25-18 to take home the 3-0 victory.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- Gracyn Benck led all Crusaders with eight kills.
- Halle Carter posted 21 assists, her 12th game of the year with over 20 assists.
- Abbie Lane led all Holy Cross players with 10 digs.
