The Holy Cross men's soccer team will play its second straight road game when it travels to Boston College for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (3-0-2, 0-0-0 Patriot League):
• Holy Cross stands 3-0-2 so far this season with wins over Manhattan, Sacred Heart and UMass Lowell. This marks the first time the Crusaders have been unbeaten through five games since 2002, when they tied Duke in their opener before winning their next seven contests.
• Senior midfielder
Max Krause is now in his fifth year with the Crusaders, after earning first team All-Patriot League honors in the spring of 2021. He is currently tied for the team lead in scoring with five points on one goal and three assists. Over the course of his collegiate career, Krause has played in 56 games with 44 starts, recording 10 goals and 16 assists for 36 points. His 16 career assists are tied for the second-most in program history.
• Junior midfielder
Jack Ostrosky leads the team with two goals scored this season and is tied for second on the squad in points with four. Both of his goals this year have been game winners, coming against Manhattan and UMass Lowell. During his career with the Crusaders, Ostrosky has now totaled four goals and three assists for 11 points in 21 games played.
• Junior
Jimmy Joyce has started all five of Holy Cross' games in goal this season, posting a 3-0-2 record with 17 saves and an 0.74 goals against average. He recently a streak of 309 consecutive minutes played without allowing a goal from Sept. 1-11, including shutouts against both Sacred Heart and UMass Lowell. Joyce also set a new career high with six saves at Iona.
• The Crusaders have scored eight goals in their first five games of the year, with seven players different scoring goals and 11 players recording at least one point. Krause and freshman forward
Evan Jones are currently tied for the team lead in scoring with five points on one goal and three assists each.

Scouting the Eagles (2-1-1, 0-0-1 ACC):
• Boston College stands 2-1-1 overall this season, and is coming off a 1-1 tie against Notre Dame in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener.
• Junior forward Stefan Sigurdarson leads the team in scoring with three goals on six points so far this year.
• Senior Christian Garner has started all four of the Eagles' games in goal, posting an 0.95 goals against average with 10 saves.
Series History:
• Boston College holds a 25-6-3 lead in the all-time series with Holy Cross, including a 3-0-1 mark in the last four games.
• The Crusaders and the Eagles last played on Sept. 10, 2019, when Boston College posted a 3-2 victory in Worcester.
