Colleen McIlvenna both scored goals, but the Holy Cross women's soccer team was defeated by Dartmouth 3-2 at Burnham Field. The Crusaders fall to 0-3-0 on the season, while the Big Green starts the year at 1-0-0.
After a scoreless first half, Allie Winstanley gave Dartmouth a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute when she forced a turnover deep in Holy Cross territory before scoring an unassisted goal. The Crusaders responded in the 66th minute when McIlvenna knocked home a corner kick by junior defender
Brooke Robinson to tie the game at 1-1.
The Big Green regained the lead in the 76th minute as Dasa Hase headed in a cross by Winstanley. The Crusaders came back once again in the 81st minute when senior midfielder
Lexi Ansaldi found Adams in the middle of the penalty box for a goal from 12 yards out. But in the 88th minute, Winstanley scored her second goal of the night from 18 yards out to give Dartmouth the win.

Olivia Dubin made eight saves for Holy Cross, while Charlotte Cyr had four saves for the Big Green.
Dartmouth finished the game with a 23-10 advantage in shots and a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Aug. 29, when it travels to Brown for a 1:00 p.m. game.
