WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross swimming and diving teams competed in a six team virtual meet this weekend. The women came in second and the men in fourth out of six teams. The women set 12 pool records and two program records.
Loyola won both the men's and women's competitions. Other participating teams included Colgate, Lehigh, Lafayette, and American.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Ayden Chanin won the 200 free (1:52.45*) and came in second in the 500 free (5:06.10).
- Greta Walting won the 100 breast (1:04.70^) and came in second in the 200 breast (2:21.83^).
- Walting was also a part of a relay team that took third in the 400 free relay (3:35.54*). Other members of the team include Rowan Burgess, Emily Skilton, and Chanin.
- Emily Sullivan came in second in the 400 IM (4:29.52*) and third in the 200 back (2:04.89*).
- Sullivan was also part of the 800 free relay team that took third (7:51.58*) along with Isabella Miko-Rydzaj, Burgess, and Chanin.
- Spencer Maher came in fourth in the 400 IM (4:15.69).
- Chris Clow came in fourth in the 3 meter diver (184.95).
- A pair of relay teams came in fifth place. The 400 medley relay team (3:33.09) was made up of Ben Fox, Mack Sullivan, Maher, and Matthew Shea. The 400 free relay (3:13.93) was also made up of Sullivan, Maher, Shea, and Fox.
- Sullivan also came in seventh of the 100 breast (59.98).
