BOSTON, Mass. – Junior
Jolie Creo totaled seven points on four goals and three assists, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Boston University 17-12 at Nickerson Field. The Crusaders fall to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League with the loss, while the Terriers improve to 2-4 on the season and 1-1 in the conference.
The game was close early on, before Holy Cross scored three straight goals to claim a 6-4 lead with 13:42 left in the first half. Boston University scored the next three goals to pull back in front, and went on to take a 10-7 lead at the break.
The Terriers started the second half by scoring three consecutive goals to increase their lead to 13-7 with 26:38 remaining. The Crusaders were unable to trim the margin to less than four goals the rest of the way, with Boston University eventually posting a 17-12 victory.

Holy Cross will return to action on Thursday, April 1, when it plays host to Army West Point at 1:00 p.m.
