WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Jolie Creo scored a game-high five goals, but the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by Army West Point 13-10 at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders fall to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the Patriot League with the loss, while the Black Knights improve to 1-3 on the season and 1-2 in the conference.

Army opened the game by jumping out to a 6-3 advantage after the first 19 minutes of action. Holy Cross responded by scoring the next three goals, including two by Creo, to tie up the game at 6-6. But the Black Knights came back to score three straight goals of their own to take a 9-6 lead at halftime.

Army ran off three more goals at the start of the second half to go in front 12-6, and would later lead 13-7 with 17:12 left to play. Holy Cross would not allow the Black Knights to score again, but was only able to close the gap to 13-10 as Army held on for the win.

Senior Izzy Grant finished the game with two goals, while senior Catherine Guanci added one goal and one assist. The Black Knights were led by Caroline Raymond with three goals and 12 draw controls.
