Women's hockey to host Brown

The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team rounds out the 2021 portion of its schedule with a nonconference contest against Brown on Friday, Dec. 10. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. at the Hart Center Rink.

Things To Know About The Crusaders (2-14-0, 1-11-0 Hockey East):
  • Holy Cross most recently played against the University of Connecticut on Dec. 3 and 4, with the Huskies sweeping the weekend series.
  • Junior Darci Johal scored for the Crusaders in the Dec. 4 contest, lifting her team-leading goal total to six on the year.
  • Johal is tied with junior Mary Edmonds (two goals, four assists) for the team lead in points.
  • This will be the final contest Holy Cross plays during the 2021 calendar year. The Crusaders resume action on Jan. 2, when they host Providence at the Hart Center Rink.
Things To Know About The Bears (1-11-2, 1-6-1 ECAC):
  • Brown most recently fell to Saint Anselm, 4-3, in nonconference action on Dec. 2.
  • The Bears' lone win this season came on Nov. 12, a 1-0 victory over Dartmouth.
  • Shay Maloney leads Brown this year with nine points off six goals and three assists. Anna Hurd has seven points, with three goals and four assists. 
  • Kaley Doyle has spent the majority of time in net for the Bears, posting a 2.61 goals-against average in nine starts with a .918 save percentage.
Last Time They Met:
  • Holy Cross and Brown last met during the 2018-19 season, with the Bears sweeping a weekend series, winning 3-1 and 4-0.
