WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross men's hockey team will continue on with its non-conference swing with games against Brown and New Hampshire. The Crusaders will host Brown on Friday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. and will then travel to UNH on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Brown game will broadcast live on NESN+ and will be available for fans outside of New England on FloHockey. The game at UNH will be broadcast on NESN and is available for fans outside of New England here.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (2-11-1, 2-5-1 AHA):
- The Crusaders most recently fell to the Merrimack Warriors, 3-2, on Tuesday at the Hart Center. Of the Crusaders last three losses, all have come by just one goal.
- Senior Ryan Leibold and junior Nick Hale are tied to lead the Crusaders with 13 points. Leibold is tied for the team lead with five goals, while Hale has a team-high 11 assists. Hale's 11 assists are tied for the 13th-best mark in the country.
- Hale is currently riding a five-game point streak with one goal and seven assists in his last five games. His 13 points are a new career-high for the junior.
- Holy Cross leads Atlantic Hockey with 217 blocks on the season. Sophomore Jake Higgins leads the Crusaders with 20 blocks. Among forwards, junior Grayson Constable leads the group with 13.
SCOUTING BROWN (1-5-0, 1-5-0 ECAC):
- The Bears will be opening their non-conference slate against the Crusaders and enter the matchup on a five-game losing streak. After opening the season with a win against Yale, Brown has gone on to drop five conference contests.
- Nathan Plessis is the only Bear with multiple goals, he leads the team with two on the season. Plessis is tied with three others with a team-high three points.
- The Crusaders are 6-5-0 against the Bears, with the last meeting coming on Nov. 21, 2017, with Brown winning 4-2.
A LOOK AT THE WILDCATS (5-7-1, 3-5-1 HEA):
- New Hampshire will face No. 16 Harvard on Friday, before taking on the Crusaders on Saturday. Entering the matchup with the Crimson, UNH most recently defeated then-No. 8 UMass, 2-1 in overtime.
- Jackson Pierson leads the Wildcats with eight points off five goals and three assists. His five goals are a team-high. Kalle Eriksson leads the team with five assists.
- This matchup marks the first meeting between Holy Cross and New Hampshire since the 2008-09 season. Then-No. 15 New Hampshire came out with the win, 9-4 over the Crusaders.
