Women's hockey heads to Boston College

The Holy Cross women's hockey team will take on Boston College in Hockey East action on Friday, Nov. 19. Puck drop is set for 2 p.m., and the contest will be televised across New England on NESN.

Things To Know About The Crusaders (2-11-0, 1-8-0 Hockey East):
  • Holy Cross earned its first win over Boston University in program history with a 2-0 shutout over the Terriers on Nov. 11 before BU pulled away to earn a 3-1 victory on Nov. 12.
  • Sophomore goaltender Madison Beck earned her first career win with the 29-save shutout.
  • Junior forward Darci Johal scored a goal in each contest over the weekend, and is on a three-game goal streak.
  • Freshman defenseman Emilie Fortunato had a three point weekend, including assisting on each of the goals in the win over BU. She is currently on a three-game point streak. Fortunato has also blocked multiple shots in each of the last four games, and is tied for second on the team with 23 blocks.
  • Sophomore forward Lilly Feeney now leads the team with five assists.
Things To Know About The Eagles (7-4-0, 5-3-0 Hockey East):
  • BC comes off a weekend split with Providence, falling 2-1 loss in Providence in the opener on Nov. 12 before snapping a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime win at home on Nov. 13.
  • Abby Newhook leads the team in scoring with 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Newhook has four multi-point games this season.
  • Abigail Levy has played every game in net for the Eagles, recording a .943 save percentage and 2.09 goals-against average.
 
Last Time They Met:
  • During the 2020-21 season, the Eagles took both meetings, as BC earned a 3-2 win at home before winning 5-1 at the Hart Center on Jan. 15 and 16.
  • Then-rookie forward Millie Sirum had a pair of goals during the weekend series.
  • Goaltender Jada Brenon totaled 62 saves over the two games.
