CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.— The Holy Cross women's basketball team fell to the Boston College Eagles, 75-50, on Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum. The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Crusaders drop to 0-2.
Sophomore
Bronagh Power-Cassidy led the Crusaders with 12 points as she reached double-digits for the first time this season. Sophomore
Janelle Allen also got in double figures with 10 points. Senior
Oluchi Ezemma led all players with seven rebounds, five of them coming on the offensive end.
Taylor Soule had a game-high 21 points for the Eagles after going 9-for-11 from the floor. Ally Vantimmeran also reached double-digits, tallying 10 points and five rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A fast and furious first quarter saw each side produce their largest offensive output of the game. The Crusaders finished the quarter with 21 points, with Power-Cassidy chipping in eight of her 12 points of the game. Boston College finished with 25 points to take a four-point lead into quarter two.
- The Crusaders managed just six points in the second quarter, which led to Boston College taking a 38-27 lead into halftime.
- Holy Cross cut the deficit to 10 after Power-Cassidy hit two free throws midway through the third quarter. The Eagles then closed out the quarter on a 13-4 scoring run to lead by 57-38.
- Boston College then closed out the game in the fourth quarter and won, 75-50.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- Allen made the first start of her career against the Eagles. Her two steals marked a career-high.
- Senior Madison Demski scored her first points of the season.

- The Crusaders return to the Hart Center for a three-game home stand beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. against Dartmouth.
