WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross men's hockey team fell in Atlantic Hockey action to Mercyhurst, 3-2, on Friday evening at Hart Center Rink.
Holy Cross (1-8-1, 1-3-1 AHA) fought back from a 2-0 deficit against Mercyhurst (2-3-4, 2-1-4 AHA), but the Lakers scored the eventual game-winner with under three minutes to play in the final frame. The Lakers started their scoring with a shorthanded goal in the first period and followed it up with a second period tally to take a 2-0 lead into the final frame.
Junior
Nick Hale scored the first goal for the Crusaders, with freshman
John Gelatt adding on an assist. The assist marked Gelatt's first collegiate point. Senior
Ryan Leibold then forced another Mercyhurst turnover and scored his third goal of the year to even the score at 2-2.
Gueorgui Fedulov scored the game-winner for the Lakers with just 2:57 remaining in the game, to put the score at 3-2 in favor of Mercyhurst.

Matt Radomsky finished with 23 saves and sophomore
Jack Robilotti led all players with four blocks.
