WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross men's hockey team fell to No. 6 Boston College, 5-1, on day two of the Ice Breaker Tournament on Saturday night at the DCU Center.
Boston College (1-0-1, 0-0-0 HE) started off the game with four unanswered goals, before sophomore
Lucas Thorne got one back for Holy Cross (0-2-0, 0-0-0 AHA). Thorne's goal came after junior
Alex Peterson intercepted a pass from the Eagles and passed it to Thorne who finished in front of goal. Thorne's goal marked his first collegiate point.
The Eagles went on to score one more to close the game out with a 5-1 victory. Freshman
Thomas Gale got his first action as a Crusader in net, playing 56:46 and making 34 saves. Senior
Bryce Dolan led all players with four blocks during the contest.
Boston College won the Ice Breaker Tournament with five points, Quinnipiac finished in second with four points, Northeastern came in third with three points and Holy Cross placed fourth.

The Crusaders will open their Atlantic Hockey slate with a two-game series at Mercyhurst, with the first game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
