WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross men's hockey team fell to No. 18 Northeastern, 3-0, on the first night of action at the Ice Breaker Tournament in the DCU Center.
The Crusaders (0-1-0, 0-0-0 AHA) were able to hold Northeastern (2-0-0, 0-0-0 HE), scoreless in the first stanza. Northeastern then opened the scoring in the second with two goals, one from Aidan McDonough and the other from Matt Choupani. The Huskies closed out the scoring with a goal from Jack Hughes in the third period.
Goaltender
Matt Radomsky made his first start of the season and posted 21 saves, including eight in a scoreless first period. The Crusaders held the Huskies scoreless through all three of their power play opportunities.
Anthony Vincent led the Crusaders with four shots, while
Jake Higgins blocked a team-high three.
