WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team was defeated by Bucknell 2-0 at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 1-10-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the Patriot League, while the Bison improve to 6-6-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in the conference.
Following a scoreless first half, Bucknell opened the scoring in the 50th minute when Claire Mensi scored on a penalty kick after a hand ball just inside the box. The Bison then added a second goal in the 61st minute when Kenar Gelman sent a long pass down the right side to Rylee Donaldson, who scored from 16 yards out in the right side of the box.

Olivia Dubin made four saves on the afternoon for Holy Cross, while Jenna Hall had three saves for Bucknell.
Both teams took 18 shots on the day, while the Bison held a 13-5 edge in corner kicks.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 9, when the play host to Loyola (Md.) at 12:00 p.m.
