Patrick Walsh both won two events, but the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team was defeated by Fairfield 181-119 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 0-3 on the year, while the Stags improve to 1-1 overall.
Nascimben won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 59.97 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:12.04). Walsh came out on top in the 100-yard backstroke (54.63) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.67). Other first-place finishes for Holy Cross belonged to freshman
Rory Hess in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.19) and the 400-yard medley relay team (3:33.54).
The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 13, when the play host to Maine at 1:00 p.m.
