HAMDEN, Conn.— The Holy Cross men's hockey team dropped to the No. 5 Quinnipiac Bobcats, 5-2, on Tuesday night in non-conference action.

Nick Hale each lit the lamp for Holy Cross (1-5-1, 1-2-1 AHA). Quinnipiac (4-1-1, 0-0-0 ECAC) got on the board in each period, and scored three times in the second to take home the victory.Â
The Bobcats opened the scoring in the first and then added on another at the 9:35 mark of the second period to bring their lead to 2-0. Constable then tallied his goal, with an assist from sophomore
Jake Higgins, to bring the Crusaders within one. Quinnipiac closed out the period with two more goals to take a 4-1 lead into the final frame.
Hale scored his first career goal, just 57 seconds into the third period after intercepting a Quinnipiac pass and sneaking one past the Bobcats' netminder. Quinnipiac closed out the scoring with Zach Metsa's goal to bring the final score to 5-2.
Freshman
Thomas Gale made 37 saves in net and QU goaltender Dylan St. Cyr made 19. Hale led all players with five blocks.Â

The Crusaders will head to No. 14 Notre Dame for a two-game series with the Irish beginning on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
