EASTON, Pa. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team was defeated by Lafayette 2-0 at Oaks Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 1-13-1 overall and 0-6-1 in the Patriot League, while the Leopards improve to 4-9-0 on the season and 2-5-0 in the conference.
Lafayette opened the scoring in the 29th minute, when Riley Dowd converted off a pass from Katie Butler. The Leopards then netted a second goal in the 36th minute, as Michaela Salvati scored with an assist to Gretchen Waechter.

Olivia Dubin made seven saves on the afternoon, while Lindsay Dewar and Natalie Neumann combined for one save for Lafayette.
The Leopards finished the game with an 11-7 edge in shots and a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.Â
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 23, when it plays host to Navy at 11:00 a.m.
