WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman
Patrick Walsh had a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, but the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team was defeated by Bucknell 178-111 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 0-2 on the year, while the Bison open the season 1-0.
Walsh won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:47.54. A number of other Crusaders had second-place finishes, including sophomore
Chris Clow in the three-meter diving (194.24), freshman
Rory Hess in the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.71) and freshman
Luca Moscetti in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.62).
The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 23, when they take part in the Worcester City Invitational.
