Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men's hockey drops 4-1 decision to Army

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team fell to Army in the second game of the two-game series, 4-1.

For the second night in a row the Crusaders scored the first goal of the game only to see the Black Knights come back with multiple unanswered strikes to claim the victory. Frank Boie scored his first goal of the season and Erik Gordon made 24 saves, but it wasn't enough to fend off visiting Army.

SCORING SUMMARY:
1-0 HC (2nd, 5:16, EV): Boie intercepted a pass just in time to keep it in the zone, let a slapper rip from just above the right circle, and beat the goalie glove side.
1-1 AWP (2nd, 5:29, EV): Army answered back just 13 seconds later to tie things up.
2-1 AWP (2nd, 7:56, EV): Tic-tac-toe off a faceoff led to Army taking the lead off the stick of Anthony Firriolo.
3-1 AWP (2nd, 17:55, EV): Lincoln Hatten backhanded one home from the slot to double the Black Knights' lead.
4-1 AWP (3rd, 19:25, EN): Army's Colin Bilek added an empty-net goal to seal the deal.
