Men’s hockey concludes season at Robert Morris in Atlantic Hockey playoffs

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team was defeated in the third game of the best-of-three series with Robert Morris in the Atlantic Hockey First Round, 5-1. Matt Radomsky made 31 saves and Patrick O'Leary scored the lone Crusader goal.
 
Robert Morris took a 1-0 lead early in the frame, but the Crusaders generated chances in the offensive end. The Crusaders recorded 14 shots on goal in the opening 20 minutes. Matt Radomsky picked up 15 saves in the period.
 
The Crusaders held the offensive advantage through the first half of the period, 4-2, but a Colonial power play goal at 11:57 pushed the deficit to 2-0. The Colonials ended the period with 10 shots to Holy Cross' eight.
 
Robert Morris opened the third period with three goals to take a 5-0 lead. The Crusaders fell victim to a five-minute penalty and killed it off successfully. With under four minutes to play, O'Leary put the Crusaders on the board, 5-1.

3-0 RMU | 3rd – 2:55 PP: Jacob Coleman scored on the power play.
4-0 RMU | 3rd – 6:20 EV: Alex Robert scored.
5-0 RMU | 3rd – 9:42 EV: Garrett Glegg scored.
5-1 HC | 3rd – 17:21 EV: Pete Kessel moved the puck up the half wall to Nick Hale on the point. Hale let go of a quick shot that Patrick O'Leary tipped just in time to beat Robert Morris' Justin Kaplemaster.
