Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men’s hockey defeated by Bentley

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team was defeated by Bentley, 6-2, on senior night at the Hart Center. Pete Kessel scored his fourth goal against the Falcons and Will Brophy added a goal in the game.
 
The Falcons opened the game with two goals to take the lead, 2-0, before Holy Cross was able to find the back of the net three quarters of the way through the period.
 
In the middle frame, Bentley doubled its lead, 4-1.
 
After striking a fifth time with a breakaway goal, the Crusaders responded when Will Brophy picked up his second goal of the season, 5-2.
 
Bentley capped off the game with a final goal with under four minutes to play, 6-2.

2-0 BEN | 1st – 13:44 EV: Brett Orr scored through traffic on a point shot.
2-1 HC | 1st - 14:31 EV: Alex Peterson rushed over the blue line and dropped the puck to Ryan Leibold, who found an open Pete Kessel on the back door for a quick one-time goal.
3-1 BEN | 2nd – 14:49 EV: Marcus Walter scored.
4-1 BEN |2nd – 16:45 PP: Dylan Pitera scored on a slap shot from a low angle on the power play.
5-1 BEN | 3rd – 9:17 EV: Jonathan Desbiens scored on a breakaway, shooting off the post and in.
5-2 HC | 3rd – 10:43 EV: Andrew Dumaresque moved the puck up to Nick Hale on the blue line. Hale quickly passed over to Will Brophy, who's shot made its way through traffic and into the back of the net.
