Matt Faw posted the first double-double of his collegiate career with 16 points and 10 rebounds, but the Holy Cross men's basketball team was defeated by Bucknell 69-48 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to to 3-25 on the season and 2-13 in the Patriot League with the loss, while the Bison improve to 11-17 overall and 7-8 in the conference.
Holy Cross hit just 37.0 percent of its field goal attempts and 21.1 percent of its three-pointers on the night. Bucknell was able to connect on 42.9 percent of its shots from the floor and drained 15 of 33 attempts from three-point range (45.5 percent).
The game was close early on, and the Crusaders led 15-13 with 8:58 left in the first half. The Bison scored the next eight points to pull in front, but Holy Cross responded with a 6-0 run to tie up the game at 21-21. Bucknell came back to score the next six points, and went on to take a 30-25 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
The Bison opened the second half with a 17-5 spurt to increase their lead to 17 (47-30) with 11:55 left to play. The Crusaders would get no closer than 15 points the rest of the way, as Bucknell went on to post a 21-point victory.

Joe Pridgen finished the game with 12 points, while senior guard
Clayton Le Sann added eight points and four steals. The Bison were led by Andrew Funk with 19 points and seven rebounds.
Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 23, when it travels to Colgate for a 2:00 p.m. game.
