Men's hockey topped by #16 Quinnipiac

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team lost to No. 16 Quinnipiac 3-0 Wednesday evening at the Hart Center. Despite outshooting the Bobcats in the final two periods, the Crusaders were not able to overcome an early deficit.

Quinnipiac struck first in just the sixth minute of play off the stick of Ethan de Jong. He redirected a shot from Peter DiLiberatore for the first score of the game. Quinnipiac would add another goal in each of the next two periods for the eventual three goal victory.

After being outshot 14-4 in the first period, Holy Cross held the advantage, 22-19, in the second and third. Logan Ferguson, Andrew Dumaresque, and Matt Slick were all active on the night, leading the team with four shots each. Jack Robilotti had a game-high five blocks.

In goal, Erik Gordon got the start and stopped 30 shots.
